Today we have some awesome news for you including full information on the most recent changes on RC, a 25% off sale until November 15th, new items added to the shop for the halloween event which will be live until the 15th, and a few more awesome fixes!
As well, we have a pretty nice changelog with some nerfs that some of you recommended in order to make the game more enjoyable. Afterall, if things are too easy to get then what's the point? For those of you who are worried about the nerfs, a good way to think about it is that in the past the game was still enjoyable without the new additions of new gifts and so on. Plus, you all have the advantage of having some now exclusive items/pokes that will be harder to get in the future, so that will be nice in the longrun!
Lastly, we have some updates on future additions and projects that have been in the pipeline for some time. We are actively trying to do everything we can to make the server more enjoyable, but sometimes it's not up to any one person to decide the free-time and availability of another, so we just have to be patient. We hope you understand where we are coming from!
Halloween Sale + Event
For those of who haven't taken advantage of it yet, there is an event for Halloween happening right now which includes some exclusive items, photos, and gifts that are quite useful.
You can start the Quest at "/warp Event" by talking to Clarence. He will point you in the right direction, and you should be off! We are very proud of this quest and had a few staff members that helped in the building department (Brieezy, JCG, Rocky1789, Creepercat29, and CityLights) and in the writing department (Khrabec, DoctorReaper, Plexitus, EwanTheDuck, maison_margiela, and _CrazyBob_)! If you see any of them, make sure to give them a "thanks" for the great work they did! This is also the first time we introduced a few new features, like IVs, EVs, Held Items, etc being used in battles, and the use of menus for quest progress to lock people to specific sections. We gained some valuable information from this event that we will definitely be putting to use in the next one.
As well, we have released a few other features specifically for the event. We have a Halloween Headshop that can be found via the "/headshop" menu which contains some awesome Halloween themed heads (Special thanks to Latraven for helping with the headshop, give her a "thanks" if you see her!). There is a three hour cooldown on each head, so choose wisely and get to saving those items!
After completion of the quest each of you will have access to the Halloween RCrates menu in "/rcrates". These can be purchased to gain some awesome Halloween gifts, as well as having a better chance at containing some rarer gifts than the normal RCrates. Plus, in the 250k RCrate, you may even find something extra spooky.
Lastly, the buycraft store currently has a 25% Sale on everything from now until the 15th (except subscriptions), which is when the rest of the Halloween Event will be officially removed. Accompanying the Sale, we have added bundles of the Crates that were originally purchasable in the Halloween RCrate menu. Plus, there is also a 500k Halloween RCrate that is a online store exclusive! You can find the Seasonal items tab here http://rc-gamers.buycraft.net/category/1079784
Recently, the RC-Discord was edited pretty heavily, given a new format and lots of new channels and orginization. This will be our main hub for short updates/announcements. Many of the smaller updates will be posted in the #updates channel before being posted on the main website in an official changelog. If you would like to join, make an account and click this link https://discord.gg/RjHjDsH !
We have heard that it's a bit cluttered for some people's liking, so we have went ahead and slimmed it down slightly. There are a few more areas that we have changed such as the trade chats, switching the website support to ticket support, and removing the voice text channels and consolidating it into one.
We are curious to hear what you all think, and we are open to any criticisms or changes people might have.
We liked the format of a forum post for the Changelogs and think each of you did as well (we would love to hear more feedback regarding which format you would like most). So, here is the post! It's a bit extensive, so read thoroughly!

Things to Come
During the Metoerite Event, there were new gift items called ability converters that dropped from RCrates. They have been disabled in gifts for quite some time due to a bug that occured with them, one which wouldn't allow the ability to be passed down through breeding and lost upon evolution. We hope to fix this bug soon, but it could take a bit more time due to the lack of time of developers!
This is something that almost everyone on RC has inquired about at some point or another. Originally, the return of Matchmaker was announced at the ending of Summer. Unfortunately, we only have one Developer that is able to work on the plugin, and time for almost everyone on RC is consumed with school. We got as far as porting the current version roughly, however haven't been able to finish any of the new additions. I can comment on a goal of ours for the system.
We are going to be making two Matchmaker tiers, one being strictly OU, meaning no crazy legends, TM0 moves, or anything else that doesn't correspond to the OU Tier. As well, there will be several clauses limiting specific things, such as Endless Battle Clause, Species Clause, and a few more. As for rewards, we plan on the reimplimentation of a Titles, and a few other aspects from the last version. We do have some new ideas in terms of rewards to spice things up though!
Matchmaker might be a bit further off still, but the developer hopes to get some more time to make progress over the next two weeks during Thanksgiving Break. We will be posting another update when the time comes with anymore news.
In Game Shop Changes
The current climate of money making and grinding lends itself to mining cobble and selling cactus. To encourage other forms of grinding, we will be reassessing the shop based on all of your suggestions over the past months. We already have ideas as to how to go about it, as well as a few new quality of life changes (including the ability to sell a full inventories worth of an item). This change will be a big one, and should offer some awesome new ways to make money, as well as give a realistic sell price to some items.
We will hopefully be getting to this together and released by early December, if not sooner.
Our take on the Safari-Zone is near completion. We have an awesome new build to go along with it, and the plugin is basically finished. The only thing we need to do is tie things together and make sure it is all working properly. Still a bit more, but very close indeed! We hope to have this released by Thanksgiving or a bit later!
This is a plugin that we announced quite some time ago. Basically, it's going to be a menu similar to auction in which each person can purchase a slot. This slot will act as a teleport for any player that clicks it. The player who purchased the slot can set the teleport at any point in the world, meaning they can set up a shop at their base and have players teleport to them to buy things! This should eliminate the problem that plots on our last version had in which they turned out incredibly laggy.
There seems to be a recurring theme here, which is that the developer who was making this plugin has lost time. So unfortunately we will have to wait quite some time for any progress on this plugin. If we can get someone to help out, we could see Bazaar as early as Christmas time!
More Frequent Updates
Lastly, lately we have been trying to hold off on updating you all of news until we have gotten a lot to release at one time. It seems everyone would love to have more updates more often, so we will be trying a new system for the next bit.
We will be trying to release updates for you every two weeks or so, no matter how much we have complete. Even if it's something small, we will still update you on it and give indicators on the plans for future features. This should be a good way to keep everyone up to day, as well as keep everyone happier.
Thanks for all of your support in the recent weeks. RC is still around, and we will be here for the forseeable future, so stick with us to have even more fun! If you have any suggestions, feel free to comment them in our newest suggestion room in discord, or for a more direct way, you can private message any Admin+ you see online on discord as well!
